Anthony Paragano, 86, of Mendham, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Anthony was born in the Italian section of Newark and grew up in Irvington with his sister and two brothers. Directly after graduating High School, he served in the army as a carpenter. He learned his craft from his family that began in the building business, and his passion for construction led him into the same industry. Early in his career, it became evident that he possessed an extreme creative sensibility, and this manifested itself into a successful career of more than 50 years in construction and development, all inspired by his distinct point of view. Starting out small building single family homes, his business expanded to large developments throughout northern NJ. Anthony had a unique talent and appreciation for both design and mechanics, and it was evident in everything he touched. With all of his success, to him the greatest achievement was his extraordinary marriage, large family, friends and deep-rooted appreciation of his Italian heritage. Anthony’s life symbolizes the pinnacle of the American Dream, and the values and strong work ethic that he instilled in his children and grandchildren will preserve his memory for generations to come.
